Just like music, wine is an essential part of Viennese culture. In 1817, Ludwig van Beethoven resided in the historic house of Mayer am Pfarrplatz. During his stay in Vienna, he worked on the famous Symphony N° 9.
To honour the great composer, the winery Mayer am Pfarrplatz created a special wine – just as lively and spicy as the famous symphony and a real pleasure to drink.
Using the traditional champagne method, vintage Sekt is matured for at least 24 months on yeast lees. This gives rise to delicate biscuit notes on the nose. Delicately aromatic fruit reminiscent of apricot and refined nutty aromas, lively acid structures on the palate with subtle yeasty notes. A very fine and lively sparkling wine.
In the nose, aromas of concentrated apricots and jasmine blossom, with a backdrop of orange zest and typical Nussberg smokiness. Powerful and firm on the palate, with salty flavours originating from the shell limestone in the Preussen vineyard.
Fragrant and fruity notes. Medium body, drinkable and lively style. Well integrated acidity.
Tropical fruit accompanied by honey aroma and delicate jasmine flowers in the background characterizes this Erste Lage wine. With its tight structure and extracted sweetness the finish presents itself as incredibly powerful. This outstanding vineyard located on the famous hill “Nussberg” in Vienna allows wines with great potential for ageing.
An elegant crimson red wine with subtle black tea and tobacco aromas on the nose. Delicate and very velvety on the palate, a rounded finish, very flattering and elegant.
Concentrated apricot and tropical fruit aromas with orange zest undertones. Very delicate and chiselled on the palate. Very smooth with a mineral character and with a fresh acidity curve on the finish. Blossom honey and apricot jam on the finish. The enormous expression of the Nussberg location can be recognised by the savoury aromas on the tongue. A great wine that you don’t see every year! Limited availability!

A bright ruby red wine with spicy aromas on the nose and bright berry fruit. Delicate bitter chocolate with elegant and mellow tannins on the palate, a spicy finish.
An aroma of juicy pear and green apple. A creamy/dense texture on the palate with the pear again present. Acidity and spices bring about a varied structure. A very juicy and concentrated Grüner Veltliner.
Seductive fruit exoticism, elegant nutmeg and rose aroma. Balanced and lively on the palate with delicate residual sweetness on the finish.
Green apple and classic pepper aromas mould this wine. Subtle grapefruit and herbal spices on the palate . A classic and very typical Grüner Veltliner. The ideal accompaniment to food.

The Riesling imparts a strong aroma of fully ripe apricots and peaches. A delicate fruity sweetness on the palate which integrates the acidity well. The body is moderate and well balanced. A very lively wine with a lot of taste experiences.
