Just like music, wine is an essential part of Viennese culture. In 1817, Ludwig van Beethoven resided in the historic house of Mayer am Pfarrplatz. During his stay in Vienna, he worked on the famous Symphony N° 9.
To honour the great composer, the winery Mayer am Pfarrplatz created a special wine – just as lively and spicy as the famous symphony and a real pleasure to drink.
Tropical fruit accompanied by honey aroma and delicate jasmine flowers in the background characterizes this Erste Lage wine. With its tight structure and extracted sweetness the finish presents itself as incredibly powerful. This outstanding vineyard located on the famous hill “Nussberg” in Vienna allows wines with great potential for ageing.
